Three skeletons pulled straight out of an old anatomy plate and taught to dance. One's mid-spin with both arms thrown up, one's kicking a leg out like it's been waiting all year for this song, and the one on the right is hoisting a carved jack-o'-lantern overhead like a trophy. Bats cross the top, orange maple leaves drift down through the middle, and a little pumpkin sits in the dirt by their feet. It's drawn in fine vintage engraving linework — every rib and vertebra in there — printed in bone cream and charcoal with just enough burnt orange to carry the season. On soft oatmeal it looks like something that's been in the Halloween bin since the seventies. Anatomically correct, emotionally unhinged.
